Growing food in Florida can be quite hard and nematodes are one of my greatest challenges. I have decided this year to try something different, again, a jean garden. I purchased these jeans 1/2 off at Goodwill and stuffed them with old hay and added organic soil to the top. I then used zip ties to attach them to the fence.
In the long jeans I will be growing green beans and in the shorts I will be planting tomatoes. I can’t wait to see how everything will do.
How do your jeans grow?
I’ve never seen Jean gardening before! What is the benefit of this technique?
It was an experiment in using old hay. It was a failed experiment though as the jeans dissintegrated.
