I dug up the ginger I had planted in my self watering grow buckets this past summer. It is not as much as I have harvested in the square containters but, still a good haul.
I re-planted several small pieces back into the buckets and brought the rest in to wash, cut and freeze. I use a bottle brush to wash most of the dirt off and then re-wash the pieces that need it after cutting. I don’t peel as I have found that once they are frozen the skin comes right off if you don’t want it. I usually juice mine so I cut them in to small pieces.
Growing ginger is so easy and does very well in containers, give it a try.
