Hand Stitched Rolled Hem on Organza or Chiffon – EASY

How many of you have a rolled hem foot for their sewing machine but have never quite gotten the hang of it?  My hand is raised.  Well I just learned a skill that I wish I had known years ago.

While doing a search for the umteenth time on using my rolled hem foot I found this video on doing it by hand.  I know this sounds like way too much work but it is not and is amazing when I tried it myself.

Since I have been making lots of doll clothes and using organza I have been struggling a bit with hemming.  The last dress I made turned out nice but I felt that the organza was hemmed a bit to large.

As you can see on this sample how beautiful it looks and it is a tiny hem.  I can even top stitch now if I want since this will be handled by little hands.
