I have had this banana plant/tree for many years. Last year I had a bunch of banana’s but they did not survive. I believe it was because it was cold and I watered way too much. When I pulled that part of the plant down it was literally mushy inside. I have since learned when the weather is cool the banana’s do not need as much water.
It is September here and the weather is still warm. These banana’s look so much better than the first bunch I had. I have done a little bit of research and have no idea what type of banana’s these are. The plant is what I would consider a dwarf (not much taller than my 6′ fence) but the leaves do not have red on them. Maybe Dwarf Cavendish. Does anyone have an idea what they might be?
