Crochet Cable Afghan – Free Pattern

This is pretty and easy to crochet pattern by Coats and Clark. It has a repeat after every 10th row and once you get the pattern down you won’t have to look at the instructions.  Every even row is a repeat of single crochets.

I used a H hook so it wouldn’t be so wide but if I do it again I will use a size I hook and decrease the base row.  I used 8 skeins of Red Heart, Buff yarn.  This is a heavy afghan and a good pattern if you want something warm.

This is rated for an intermediate crocheter (is this a real word?).  I believe a confident beginner could do this.  It only uses single and double crochets.
