Squircle Afghan – Free Pattern

This pattern is great for using up all those scraps of yarn.  The pattern is from the Hook and Yarn Blog and is very simple.  I really do not like sewing lots of squares together so this link is wonderful for crocheting all these squares together.

I used 11 different colors of yarns for the circles because that is what I could come up with quickly.  I crocheted with a G crochet hook and decided to make mine 7 x 9 squares.  This made the measurements approx 40″ x 55″.

The next one I make I think I will make the circles bright colors and the main color black to look more like an Amish quilt.  This would also be pretty in baby colors.

    • I crochet really fast so a couple of days. This project is hard to take with you unless you crochet all the circles first. If you crochet one square, measure it, and then decided how big you want it, you could then graph out your colors and know how many of each color you would need.
