The two types of hot process soap I have made in the past have both used bee’s wax so when I saw this recipe I wasn’t sure if it had just been left off the ingredient list. Like I know so much about soap making.
These are the ingredients:
-10 oz. coconut oil
-8 oz. palm oil
-6 oz. avocado oil
-4 oz. almond oil
-4 oz. shea butter
-4.5 oz. lye (7% excess fat)
-10 oz. water
One of the main reasons I wanted to try this recipe is because it is supposed to be great for eczema and psoriasis. Andrea at Frugally Sustainable has not steered me wrong yet. I love her website and all her wonderful posts. The great thing is if you don’t want to make the products on her website she also sells the finished products on Etsy.
The bars turned out great and I will definitely be making more. Now I have 3 wonderful recipes for handmade hot process soap. Some day I may try my hand at cold process.
Here are the directions for making this soap.
